1. Who we are

MOWI is a corporate mobility service with its own operation and international reach: executive transportation, airport transfers, shipping and courier services, event logistics, and related services for companies, wherever your company operates. We coordinate the service end to end through our network of affiliated drivers.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect on our website (mowiapp.com), what we use it for, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

3. What data we collect and how

3.1 Data you provide directly

When you complete the contact form on mowiapp.com, we collect the data you include in it: name, corporate email address, phone number, subject, and the content of your message or request.

When you start a conversation via WhatsApp through one of the links on our site, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy; we only access the content you write to us directly.

When you schedule a meeting through our Google Calendar link, that process is subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy; we receive the contact and scheduling details you provide to coordinate the meeting.

3.2 Data collected automatically as you browse the site

Our website uses a Google Tag Manager container that manages the operation of the following measurement tools:

  • Google Analytics 4: collects site usage statistics, such as pages visited, traffic source, approximate country, and device type. This information helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: measures the effectiveness of our advertising. It works in two complementary ways: (a) a pixel that runs in your browser and (b) as of August 6, 2026, the sending of the same type of events also from our server to Meta, through Meta’s Conversions API (via the official Meta plugin for WordPress). The events we record are: page view, WhatsApp contact initiated, quote request submitted through the form, and click to schedule a meeting. As of August 7, 2026, we also send Meta hashed personal data (such as your name, email, or phone number, when available) through the Advanced Matching feature, to improve the accuracy of our advertising measurement. This data is hashed before it leaves your browser or our server: Meta never receives it in plain text.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag: measures the effectiveness of our advertising on LinkedIn and records two conversion actions: WhatsApp contact initiated and click to schedule a meeting.

These tools use cookies, including first-party cookies (belonging to mowiapp.com) that are activated as part of the site’s measurement configuration. More detail in Section 7.

3.3 Technical data

Like most websites, our server and the measurement tools described above may automatically record technical data: device type, operating system, IP address, cookie identifiers, and browsing data (pages viewed, actions taken on the site).

4. What we use your data for

We use the data we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and quote requests.
  • Coordinate the commercial contact you request from us, including scheduling meetings.
  • Measure site usage and the results of our advertising, to understand what works and improve our service.
  • Maintain the security of our site.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Processing is based, as applicable, on your consent (for example, when using measurement cookies), on the handling of your commercial request, or on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of the site.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

  • Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4): for measuring site usage, and Google Calendar for coordinating meetings you schedule.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): for measuring our advertising, through the browser pixel and, as of August 6, 2026, also through the sending of events from our server (Conversions API). WhatsApp, which also belongs to Meta, receives the content of the conversations you initiate through that channel.
  • LinkedIn: for measuring our advertising on that platform.
  • Technical providers that operate our site (for example, web hosting), under confidentiality obligations and only with the data necessary to provide that service.
  • Authorities: when required by law, a court order, or a competent authority.

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review: Google’s, Meta’s (which includes WhatsApp), and LinkedIn’s.

6. International data transfer

MOWI provides corporate mobility services with international reach. The technology providers mentioned in Section 5 (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) may process and store data on servers located outside Uruguay. We apply reasonable measures so that such processing complies with this policy and applicable regulations.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses cookies so that the measurement tools described in Section 3.2 work correctly. This includes first-party cookies (activated as part of the site’s measurement configuration) and third-party cookies belonging to Google, Meta, and LinkedIn.

You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Please note that this may affect some site features and the way we measure its use.

8. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, and to address possible claims. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it securely.

9. Your rights

As the data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access: know what data we have about you and how we process it.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request that we delete your data when it is no longer necessary or when you withdraw your consent, unless we must retain it under a legal obligation.
  • Objection: object to certain processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at international@mowiapp.com stating your request. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding.

If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations, you also have the right to file a complaint with Uruguay’s Data Protection Regulatory and Oversight Unit (Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales, URCDP) — the country’s data protection authority, given that MOWI is established in Uruguay.

10. Security of your data

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

11. Children’s privacy

Our site is directed at businesses and individuals of legal age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe you have provided us with a minor’s data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Our mobile applications

In addition to the website, MOWI operates a passenger app and a driver app, which also process personal data to provide the mobility service. Data processing for those apps may be detailed in their own privacy notice, published on their respective app store listing; in the event of any discrepancy with what is described here, the information published on that listing prevails.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when necessary, for example, due to changes on our site or in applicable regulations. We will publish the updated version on this same page with its update date. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
